Scarborough Tennis Club Update

In Loving Memory of
Pauline Marsh

It is with heavy hearts that we farewell one of Scarborough Tennis Club’s most loved and treasured members, Pauline Marsh, who sadly lost her courageous battle with cancer over the weekend.

Pauline was much more than a member of our club. For over 30 years, she was a dear friend to so many, a familiar face around the grounds, and a beautiful part of the fabric that makes Scarborough Tennis Club such a special place.

Having joined the club in the early 1990s, Pauline dedicated countless hours to the club she loved. She served in a number of committee roles over the years, lovingly cared for our gardens, and was always willing to lend a helping hand wherever it was needed. Her contribution to the club cannot be measured simply by the roles she held, but by the kindness, warmth and generosity she shared with everyone around her.

When friends recently visited Pauline in Dunsborough, she often spoke about how much she loved her new home, but also how much she missed Scarborough Tennis Club. She missed dropping in to watch the tennis, sharing a drink with friends, and of course, being out on the court herself. We know many of us will miss those same moments with her.

Despite the challenges she faced, Pauline remained remarkably positive and graceful throughout her illness. Her strength, courage and outlook on life were both inspiring and humbling. She carried herself with a quiet dignity that touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Pauline will be remembered for her gentle nature, her beautiful smile, her ability to make everyone feel welcome, and her genuine care for others. Whether sharing a laugh over a cool beer or a glass of wine after tennis, spending time at the beach, tending to the gardens, or simply enjoying the company of friends, Pauline embraced life with warmth and gratitude.

She was admired, respected and loved by all who knew her.

On behalf of the entire Scarborough Tennis Club community, we extend our deepest condolences to her daughter Gemma, her son Paul, and to Pauline’s extended family and loved ones.

Thank you, Pauline, for your friendship, your kindness, your service, and the countless memories you have left us with.

You will be deeply missed, fondly remembered, and forever a part of our club.

Rest peacefully, Pauline.
