About Scarborough Tennis Club.

More than 60 years of tennis.

A whole lot of community. And plenty more to come.

Scarborough Tennis Club has been part of the local community for more than 60 years.
We've seen generations of players walk through our gates, from kids picking up a racquet
for the first time to players who have spent decades playing on our courts.

And while tennis is what brings us together, it's the people, friendships and community that make Scarborough what it is.

We're a club that wants to be welcoming, social and competitive - a place where you can come down for a casual hit on a Sunday, play Pennants on a weekend, represent Scarborough at State Grade or simply enjoy being part of a great local sporting community.

A club that loves
to compete.

From grassroots to the highest level.

Scarborough has a proud history of competitive tennis spanning more than six decades.

Our members compete across multiple Pennant grades, while our junior players continue to represent the club at some of the highest levels of junior tennis in WA.

And we're ambitious about the future.

Our Junior State Grade Men's team represents the next generation of Scarborough players, with the long-term goal of developing these young players into our future Men's State Grade team.

At the same time, the return of Ladies State Grade tennis marks another important chapter for the club.

It's not just about the teams we have today.

It's about building the players and pathways that will represent Scarborough tomorrow.

Our Juniors are
our future.

For almost 20 years, Rick Willsmore and his incredible coaching team have been developing young players and building one of the strongest junior pathways in WA.

This season, that pathway reaches another exciting milestone, with Scarborough fielding a Junior State Grade team - representing the club at the highest level of junior tennis.

It’s another testament to Rick and his coaching team, and the quality of the players they continue to develop.

But the real success isn't just measured in trophies.

It's in the players who develop confidence, discipline and a love of tennis.
It's in the friendships they make.
It's in the competitive pathways they discover.
And it's in the fact that some of those players eventually come home.

Meg and Ali Connell are a great example.

Both grew up through Scarborough, became two of our most successful club champions, went on to compete at State Grade level - and now they've returned to lead our Ladies State Grade team.

That's the Scarborough pathway.

More than just tennis.

We believe a great tennis club should feel like a community.

For us, tennis is the starting point.

The real magic happens when people stay around, get to know each other, make friends and become part of the club.

That's why we're putting more energy into social tennis, community events and creating opportunities for members to spend time together away from the competition.

Our new Sunday Community Arvo Socials are part of that change - opening the club to everyone, regardless of their playing ability, and giving local people an easy way to come down, have a hit and meet us.

Because we want new people coming through our gates.

And we want them to feel welcome when they do.

A special place to play.

There's something pretty special about playing tennis here. We have 13 beautifully manicured grass courts and six hard courts, surrounded by new facilities and just minutes from Scarborough Beach.

The grass courts are one of the things that make our club unique - and we think they're among the best in Perth.
Then there's the WA sunshine, blue skies and those famous Scarborough sea breezes. Sometimes gentle. Sometimes... not so gentle.

But that's Scarborough.

Grass courts, sunshine, sea breezes
and Scarborough.

Where we're heading...

Building a bigger, more
welcoming and more
competitive Scarborough.

The club is changing - and we're excited about it.

We want to be known as one of Perth's most welcoming tennis clubs, while continuing to build our reputation for high-level competitive tennis.

That means:

More people playing tennis.
More people enjoying social tennis.
More juniors developing through the club.
More players progressing to the highest levels.
More reasons for our members to spend time together.

From a beginner picking up a racquet on a Sunday afternoon to a young player dreaming of State Grade - there should be a place for everyone at Scarborough.

This is
Scarborough.

Great tennis.
Good people.
One community.

For more than 60 years, people have come here to play tennis. But they stayed for the friendships.

Come and be part of it.
